Field experience with Diplexin HP-09

17.07.2024

Field experience with Diplexin HP-09:

Immediately after the product launch, the newly developed, highly efficient heavy metal precipitant Diplexin HP-09 was presented to a long-standing customer. This long-established international surface coating company produces large quantities of zinc and zinc/nickel electrolyte contaminated rinse water on a daily basis.

Initial laboratory tests showed that Diplexin HP-09 achieved outstanding results in terms of effectiveness and consumption compared to the product previously used.

These superior benefits were confirmed in the subsequent field tests. The need for heavy metal precipitants was reduced by approximately 50%, without compromising the simultaneous precipitation of zinc and nickel. The prescribed limits were consistently and safely undershot. As a result, the changeover to Diplexin HP-09 was completed immediately.

In this case, a table specially prepared by F&S was used to determine the required dosing quantities. After filling the batch reactor, the zinc and nickel values are analysed by AAS. Depending on the sum of the metals, the litres of Diplexin HP-09 required for each batch are determined according to the table. Additional dosing is only required in the rarest of cases, but will work perfectly if required!

Thanks to the unique price/performance ratio, the total cost of ownership has been significantly reduced.

Other key benefits include:

  • Approximately 50% more space in the hazardous goods store!
  • Half the handling and internal transport!
  • Savings in labour costs!

Finally, our entire environment benefits from drastically reduced logistic routes, packaging, empty container disposal, etc.
